Hi, I’m Katie!

I am currently in my first year as a Ph.D student in the Human Computer Interaction Design program at Indiana University’s School of Informatics and Computing, where I am co-advised by Shaowen Bardzell and Jeffrey Bardzell.

My research focuses on how technology can reduce emotional and logistical problem in families who have experienced divorce, specifically in terms of family scheduling and calendar systems. I am funded by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

I hold a B.S. in Informatics and a minor in psychology and a M.S. in Human Computer Interaction Design.

I get really excited about post-it notes, making lists, and color-coordinating things. I also like to take part in indoor rock climbing, yoga, running, and all sorts of crafts. My favorite color is pink, an ENFJ, and if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be Reese’s cups. I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. My 3 younger siblings & my parents mean the world to me.
