San Francisco: 101 things list
For the last 4 years I’ve had one goal, one dream, and one place I wanted to live: the San Francisco Bay Area. I’d tell everyone I knew, whether they cared or not, that the Bay Area is where I’d move to one day. I’m on my way to making that dream a reality. For the last 6 weeks, I’ve been living in San Francisco and interning at Oracle in their Applications User Experience group. I feel extremely fortunate to have this opportunity.
Although I’m living my dream this summer (and sadly half way through), I’ve had quite the streak of bad luck. Friends joked that I should make a list of everything that has gone wrong in my life these last few weeks. My roommate, Kat, suggested something a bit more positive. She suggested that I make a list of everything I’ve learned, realized, and experienced so far this summer. So here it goes:
101 experiences, lessons, thoughts, discoveries, realizations, things I’ve done, and random musings from my first 6 weeks in San Francisco:*

You go, KO. Keep having those adventures.
AWESOME, Katie!! I’m so glad you’re enjoying SF. I’ve been there once with my mom for a few days when I tagged along on one of her conventions – the thing about the hills…AMEN! THEY SUCK! lol…I’ve been through a LOT of what you’re going through when I moved to AZ the way I did (and you at least have some kind of built in support group out there that I didn’t, so it’s even more awesome for you!)
Sucks to have had so many problems, AAA Rocks – especially when you’re away from those you’d normally call to help. Lack of humidity rocks even more, and I didn’t realize there were wild-growing Calla’s out there! Love them too!
Keep in touch, keep posting, and hopefully you’ll be where you want to be (whether it be out there or somewhere else) permanently soon! (One day I’d definitely like to move back out of Cincinnati – whether it’s AZ again, Italy, a little beach town on an island somewhere, or whatever)…
Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, shortly after moving to AZ, I had to have: The entire front end suspension of the truck replaced, some expensive work with the belts and tensioner pully, battery replaced, struts, spark plugs, transmission work and something else. The truck had been under warranty for some of it, but not all, but on the up-side, that’s how I met Cassie’s original owner and now a good friend of mine (REALLY helps to befriend a mechanic who owns his own shop in a place far from home!)
P.S.S. LOVE the new look, too!
Hey katie
“you are the person”. Great info and thanks for sending. Glad to hear you are into
Red Wine…..I need a partner for that. Don’t tell Mom Mom you found a new “meatball favorite”.
